We’ve all heard about vision boards. They are very beneficial, they give you a visual of your goal,
they keep you in a progressive headspace. It’s an exercise that has been utilised by many for a long time. I however like having a past, present and future board side by side.
In one visual you can see where you started, where you are at and where you are going. This makes you appreciate the progress you have already made while motivating you to go for your dreams. I find even the process of making these boards is very deep and personal, it makes you discover things you may not be aware of or may have forgotten.

It makes you conscious of your whole life. It shows you that you have started and that you are already on your way.

This is quite personal but here is my past, present and future board or vision board. We’ve all heard about vision boards. Past – Future – Present

I blocked out information that was too personal and my future board which I like keeping personal until I achieve it. This really shouldn’t be shared, it should be for your eyes only. I just put mine up to help you. You may feel a bit stuck when making yours because there is just so much to put on there or you’re not aware of what it is exactly that you want. You’ll have people say that “oh the future isn’t a guarantee” or “As soon as you life a moment it’s in the past how can you make a board for the present” Don’t be that guy…. Here are some helpful suggestions when constructing your life boards;

  • Past: The past is quite obvious, I like putting reminders that show your progression, things that were once an insecurity that now motivate you.
  • Present: Have the present from the past year or circumstances you are currently in.
  • Future: For your future board don’t put crazy outlandish things like Lamborghinis or mansions if you don’t resinate with them. Look deep inside and what do you REALLY want!

Remember this is personal. If someone asked you what do you want out of life and you had to sum it up it can sometimes be different then what you put on your board. So don’t rush it. It can’t be done in one day. I look at my boards every morning. It makes me conscious of my progress and my goals. It reminds me of how grateful I am to be where I am. It motivates me to go for the goals I’ve set on my future board.
