Accountability is important even for the most knowledgeable of people, sometimes people know the formula to succeeding on whatever they are trying to accomplish but without that deadline or that person pushing you it is easy to slack off.

Like when somebody is their own boss, there is always work to be done but they may take an extra day off or you might find them down the golf course, why?

Because nobody is there to tell them otherwise.

Here are some ways you can keep yourself accountable:

If others know your goal you will feel a responsibility to achieve it. If you keep it to yourself it’s much easier to make excuses and

A goal without a plan is just a wish, set a deadline, make a plan and go after it like you really want it.

Whether it in a diary or journal record each step, you’ll see the progression, it will drum your tasks and goals into your subconscious mind and if you start to slack off you will see the wasted work if you give up.

Similar to the last step but completely fitness related. Track your food intake (Be honest) follow a training routine (Again be honest) and make sure it is in alignment with your goals. Remember if it’s not measurable it’s not manageable.

Either on your own or in a group set a challenge and a rewards once you achieve a set task

Not only a to do list but a done list on the back. Similar to a checklist but you get the pleasure of rewriting the task once it is completed. Remember you only get results for “done”

If you have a personal trainer to keep you accountable you can avoid being your own worst enemy. You may hate us at times but in the end you’ll love us.
